The Lorentz Extract Jar (Retail)

We are excited to introduce our latest extract-making jar. The name of this jar is The Lorentz, named after the Indonesian national park that is home to the tallest mountain in Indonesia and home to one of only three equatorial glaciers on our planet. That means it's one of only three places in the world where glaciers exist in the bean belt, which is extraordinary! Vanilla beans from Indonesia are an experience unto themselves, and so it seemed a perfect place to draw inspiration for a new extract jar. 

The picture above is the view of the Indonesian peaks in Lorentz national park. It's the tallest peak between the Himalayas and the Andes.  It's hard to imagine a more geologically diverse landscape in the world with glaciers in the mountains and beautiful vanilla beans growing in the Papua region below.

We chose a blue cap for this beautiful bottle to remind us of the colder climate on the mountain tops of the Lorentz national park. The shape of the class is less traditional with its wide base to allow for vanilla beans to be folded, bent or tied to ensure that they are submersed entirely in spirits for extraction.
