VanillaPura's planifolia East Timor Vanilla Beans are of the highest quality and have a rich, dark aroma. This particular vanilla bean originates from the tropical region just north of Australia. Claimed by the Portuguese, then invaded and ruled by Indonesia and finally liberated as its own state just in 2002, East Timor is a people and a culture with a rich history and deep rooted identity and pride that is reflected in all of their agricultural exports, and especially with their vanilla beans.
When you first open a pouch of The Dili East Timor vanilla beans, your nose will be met with an exceptionally sweet vanilla scent that isn't always characteristic of Planifolia vanilla beans. It's sweet, almost as if nature added a pinch of sugar to the aroma. Behind the sweet vanilla scent, you will quickly notice a soft hint of tropical fruit and fauna. After months (or even years) of extraction, your finished extract will demonstrate a beautiful and elegant vanilla sweetness with use applications in almost every culinary creation including creams, pastries, chocolate, savory dishes and more.

The Dili East Timor vanilla beans are very oily and high in vanillin content. These are plump vanilla beans, and are usually between 5" and 7" inches long and have a dark brown color. Great for sugars, salts and powders when dried, in addition to their excellent use in extracts.
VanillaPura vanilla beans are all shipped vacuum sealed for freshness and should be stored unrefrigerated in a cool, dry and dark place.
