VanillaPura's V. cribbiana vanilla beans are an exquisite example of traditional, wild vanilla. Perhaps this is what the Aztecs and Mayans experienced shortly after vanilla beans were discovered and began to be cultivated. We bring these beautiful vanilla beans to you from the tropics of Guatemala in the world's bean belt.
When you first open a pouch of The Flores Guatemalan vanilla beans, your nose will be met with a powerful vanilla aroma. You will tease out conspicuous undertones of of brown sugar, honey, dried fruit, perhaps raisins and a hint of chocolate. After months (or even years) of extraction, your finished extract will demonstrate a rich, beautiful taste and aroma that is uniquely rare and entirely sweet.
Guatemalan V. cribbiana vanilla beans can be very oily (much like their V. bahiana cousins found in our Chiapas vanilla beans) and great for use in making vanilla sugar. They boast a high vanillin content that is expected in this species of bean. They are ideal for virtually any baking application where conspicuous vanilla sweetness is desired. These are plump vanilla beans, and are usually between 3"-5" inches long and have a dark brown color.
VanillaPura vanilla beans are all shipped vacuum sealed for freshness and should be stored unrefrigerated in a cool, dry and dark place.
