We sometimes offer one-time low prices on products in limited quantity. When we do, we offer them as "special buys". Special buy offers have their own name to help us distinguish and separate inventory. While no two vanilla beans are ever exactly the same, this "Mimika" vanilla bean is the same species and was grown in the same region as our regular Sentani Indonesian vanilla bean but is offered now at a lower price and with limited availability. If it’s available, buy it quickly as it will sell out.

For homemade ice cream, fruit tarts, custards, pies and creams, Sentani Indonesian Tahitensis vanilla is a a perfect application.

These Vanilla Beans are of the highest quality and have a rich, bold, spicy, floral, anise and berry aroma. We named this special buy vanilla bean after the beautiful city of Mimika in the western region of Papua Indonesian where these amazing beans are grown.

Papua Indonesia

Mimika V. tahitensis Indonesian grade-A beans are plump, moist, rich in vanillin oil and caviar. Like most tahitensis vanilla beans, they are typically smaller than their V.Planifolia relatives, but still complete with an amazing taste and rich oils for making vanilla sugar, vanilla bean paste and much more.

(A fishing port in Mimika Indonesia.)

VanillaPura vanilla beans are all shipped vacuum sealed for freshness and should be stored unrefrigerated in a cool, dry and dark place.

On average, there are 6-10 beans/oz depending on the moisture content of the specific batch of vanilla beans. Pricing reflects current market conditions and will be updated as market prices change.

Dark chocolate heaven

Unprecedented beautiful dark chocolate notes! It's only been a couple of weeks that my beans have been swimming and the color and smell is darker than some other beans that have been swimming for a year!
