Welcome to Brazil. This beautiful Grade-A vanilla bean from Northern Brazil is all that you would expect from a region of the world famous for its coffee and soon for its vanilla. Indeed, vanilla beans are a relatively new crop for Brazil and we are excited to be one of the first distributors to offer it.
This vanilla bean is of the Planifolia species, making it a primarily classic, buttery vanilla base. But given its origin it also boasts of a chocolate/caramel undertone with a sweet and spicy vanilla kick. We named this bean The Olinda, after a beautiful, tropical beach town in Northern Brazil.

This is a beautiful extract to add to your cooking arsenal with applications in cakes, cookies, pastries, creams, frostings and many traditional desserts that require classic vanilla extract.
