We are excited to introduce our first-ever vanilla bean from the Tanzania. We named this rich, oily and fragrant bean after the the coastal city of Lindi Tanzania.

Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas, including the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), and Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain. It's on the coastline in a tropical region of the "Bean Belt" near the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs.

It's also home to a vanilla bean that is all its own. Entirely unique, but underlain with traditional buttery notes of classic, sweet vanilla. Like many of VanillaPura's vanilla beans, this is a very difficult bean to find and given its limited quantity, it will likely be out of stock.

Like all VanillaPura beans, the Lindi Tanzania beans are of the highest quality. They are plump, dark, extremely rich in oils and have a strong vanilla base that you would be surprisingly accustomed to. It is creamy, buttery and unusually smooth. Plump, with high vanillin content, you will notice a strong vanilla aroma after just days of extraction.

Tanzania

The location of Tanzania tells the story of this remarkable bean. East of Uganda, West of Madagascar and on the same ocean as our India vanilla beans, this tiny bean captures the essence of its remote location on our planet in a way that few other beans do.

When you first open a pouch of Lindi Tanzania vanilla beans, your nose will be met with a burst of rich, concentrated vanilla with a hint of cacao. You may notice a subtle trace of mocha, but not in a bold form. You will be taken entirely with the familiar, sweet and overwhelming aroma of classic vanilla in its purist form.

Tanzania town

(A small town at the base of Mount Meru, Tanzania.)

After months (or even years) of extraction, your finished Lindi Tanzania extract will demonstrate a classic, traditional, creamy and rich extract with concentrated vanilla sweetness. Virtually any spirit will work with this beautiful vanilla beans.

These vanilla beans are very oily and rich with vanillin. They are usually between 4" and 7" inches long and have a dark brown color. Like all vanilla beans from VanillaPura, they are backed by our 100%, no questions asked satisfaction guarantee.

VanillaPura vanilla beans are all shipped vacuum sealed for freshness and should be stored unrefrigerated in a cool, dry and dark place.

On average, there are 6-10 beans/oz depending on the moisture content of the specific batch of vanilla beans. There can be as few as 5 beans or as many as 20 beans. Pricing reflects current market conditions and will be updated as market prices change.
